The Mechanic Visitor

Yesterday my cousins and I took a road trip down to Brighton. They are from Europe, so they haven’t had much experience with Australian winter. They were all convinced that it was going to be hot every day and ignored me when I told them that Australia can actually get pretty cold. Still, they insisted on going to Brighton to see the beach boxes.

When we were almost at the beach, our heating stopped working. The car began to get really cold, and I suggested I look for a Brighton service centre near me to get the heating fixed. We could leave the car with them for a few hours and walk around while sightseeing, or even use public transport, since the city is filled with great public transport options. They didn’t really seem to care what we ended up doing, and since they didn’t speak good English they decided to leave the choice to me. After all, I was the person who would be communicating with everybody we hired.

In the end I managed to find a mechanic on my phone pretty quickly. It turns out it was one of the few mobile mechanic companies Brighton had, which was perfect for us because it meant that we didn’t have to go out of our way to get to a mechanic, since they would be coming to us instead. My cousins don’t really have this kind of thing where they’re from, so they were amazed when the mobile mechanic pulled up and started getting out all of his tools. This company was really reputable, so I decided it would be alright to leave him with the car while I showed my cousins around. Apparently the issue was with the electrical system of the car, specifically its climate control. It wouldn’t take too long to fix, but if I waited around it would have been a waste of a day. As promised, the car was fixed very quickly and I was able to show my cousins around.
