Once, there was a legendary pirate, known for his fearless attitude and cunning tactics. He was known as Captain Bluebeard, and he struck fear into the hearts of all his foes. However, despite his reputation, Captain Bluebeard had a problem that he was too embarrassed to discuss with his crew. You see, Bluebeard had recently lost a leg in battle, and he didn’t want to admit that it had made his bathing routine somewhat more difficult.
As Bluebeard’s ship sailed along the coast of Sydney, he realised what he needed: bath modifications. Near Sydney, there were bound to have plenty of experts for that sort of thing, but Bluebeard needed something a bit more discrete than a team of bathtub modifiers coming onto his ship. Oh, he had no doubt an experienced team that had done many a bathtub cutout for elderly residents of the city would do a fine job, but instead he needed a trusted crew member to install a bathtub cutout without spilling it to the rest of the crew.
Thankfully, Bluebeard knew just the man. One of his crew members, Jack, had worked as a carpenter before turning to a life of piracy. Jack was an expert in woodwork and was known for his ability to solve difficult problems, as well as keep his mouth shut when necessary. Bluebeard confided in Jack, telling him about the bathtub modifications he needed. Jack immediately got to work, drawing plans for the bathtub cutout that Bluebeard desperately needed.
Jack did an outstanding job, working tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect so that his captain could go about his daily routine with ease. Not only that, but Jack also created a special wooden leg for Bluebeard, made with intricate carvings and ornate designs.
Bluebeard was thrilled, and he knew that he would never truly be able to repay Jack for his hard work. So, what did he do? Well, Bluebeard hadn’t gained a reputation as a ruthless pirate captain for nothing. In the dead of night, he forced Jack to walk the plank, ensuring his secret would remain hidden forever.
