Well, that last blog post of mine really blew up. Apparently, people really want to hear more about the Museum of Commercial Office Fitouts. What’s weird to me is that many of my commenters claimed they’d never even heard of such a museum and couldn’t find anything about it online. Some people even believe I am making the whole thing up, which is ridiculous. Making things up is only my literal job. But I can assure you, this museum honouring office design companies around Melbourne is very real. To prove it, I’m going to answer the three most common questions I received about this place.
Question 1: Where is the Museum of Commercial Office Fitouts? Why can’t I find it online?
Technically that is two questions, but I’ll allow it. The Museum of Commercial Office Fitouts is located just off Collins St in Melbourne. You have to take the secret exit from the really popular bookstore there to get in. There’s literally a whole ARG about this online, guys, and it honestly wasn’t that hard to figure out. Thomas Frederickson wanted only those who proved themselves worthy to enter this museum, hence its secrecy.
Question 2: I need more office space. Design Melbourne offices, do they?
What’s weird about this question is that everybody worded it in that particular way, as if they were a magic space monk hiding on a swamp planet. I guess it became a meme of sorts on my website. Anyway, the museum does not provide office design services, but you’re free to take inspiration from the exhibits.
Question 3: What is the cafe like?
I’m really surprised this was the third most popular question on my blog. It was a good cafe. They had tasty food and it wasn’t too pricey. Definitely recommend, especially since you can’t bring food in and you could easily spend six hours at this museum. They even have a hotel if you want to stay overnight and really make the most out of your visit.
