Becoming a Sailor

I went to the warehouse of the company that is building my boat to see what it looks like currently. It’s mostly scaffolding at the moment, but I can see what the company is planning to build and where they are planning to build it. They seem to be following the blueprints that we drew up together, which I liked a lot because a lot of the ideas came from myself. The only thing is that the boat latch is too visible, which is annoying because the mermaids are going to swim away from me quickly if they think I am trying to capture them. I have to be as nice as I can and smile at them underwater. I need to hide the boat latch. Installed in Melbourne, it’s very common for fishing boats to have these because it makes it easier and faster to launch, and also helps the docking process, but I am not too concerned about docking as I know that the only thing I have to think about is what it is going to be like to launch.

I have never been in a boat before, and I have certainly never sailed one myself. It’s going to take a lot of practice, and I need time to practice before I set out on my sailing mission, but I can’t do that if the company is going to take forever building it. They keep talking about fishing rod holders and which one is going to be best for fishing, because that’s what I told them I was going to do. I can’t tell them that I’m not fishing and that I don’t need fishing rods, because then they’ll probably start asking questions and my mermaid mission would get found out. The more people who know about mermaids, the less likely they are to want to speak to me. I think it would be awesome if I could get one in my boat and then talk to them enough that they become my friend.
